FORMAL AFFAIR WEDDINGS LIMITED – IN ADMINISTRATION

We regret to inform you that Formal Affair Weddings Limited (incorporating Formal Affair Suit Hire and Francesca Bridalwear) was placed into Administration on Monday 9th January 2017, with Dean Nelson and Nick Lee of Smith Cooper being appointed Administrators.

Unfortunately due to the financial position of the Company, all of its branches have now been closed, and any queries about your outstanding order should be directed to the Administrators at Smith Cooper (details at the bottom of this statement).

If your order was for wedding or bridesmaids dresses, it is highly unlikely that these will now be supplied, although the Administrators and our agents, John Pye & Sons of Nottingham, are working with the numerous bridal suppliers used by the Company, to find alternative solutions. If you have a wedding insurance policy, we would advise you to contact them and inform them of the situation in order to progress your claim for compensation. If you have paid by credit card, please contact your provider to inform them of the position and progress a claim for reimbursement.

Similarly, if your order was with Formal Affair for suit hire, the same advice would apply, although we are currently in the process of trying to make arrangements with other local suit hire suppliers, to provide continuity of orders and will endeavor to keep you updated with any developments.

The Administrators understand the distress and financial difficulty that the demise of the Company, and ultimate Administration, will cause to brides and grooms respectively, however we are working quickly to try and provide support and advice to deal with customers queries and provide continuity of service wherever possible.
