Looking for an unusual wedding story

This may not apply to you as you're in the process of planning your wedding, but we're looking for an unusual wedding story.

I'm looking to write an unusual wedding story for the national press with the theme: "I surprised my wedding guests with ......."

Your story could be about inviting everyone to a birthday party which turned out to be a wedding. Or maybe, after weeks in plaster, you threw down the crutches and revealed an fully healed broken leg, or after a serious accident you arrived at your wedding completely recovered. Crazy dancing, staged surprises, anything that your guests weren't expecting. Perhaps, an unexpected guest from far away places, came along. It could be just about anything that made the surprise of their lives for your guests. If I haven't written it down here, it's sure to be a big surprise for me too.

I'm also looking for stories about reluctant brides or grooms. A national magazine is looking to write a case study/studies on the fears a bride or groom has about their impending wedding. It might be a story from a wedding that has taken place. Were or are you facing a dread about the wedding or marriage itself that you can't reveal to your partner? Does it keep you awake at night and are you wishing you could call the whole thing off.

These case studies can be kept anonymous to protect your identity and that of your family and friends. But we'd very much like to hear stories about you. Was it about the load of money to be spent on the whole shabang that you feared, or maybe the commitment over decades to one person and whether you could cope. Or maybe you aren't really sure what love is and are being bowled along not knowing how to say STOP!
