For the girl who can’t have too many handbags.

The fashion world took on extra glitter during June 2008 as it celebrates London’s first ever Jewellery Fashion Week, sponsored by Coutts.

One of the most impressive pieces featured was a £1 million handbag - designed by Japanese jewellery designer Ginza Tanaka. It’s made of platinum and set with over 2,000 diamonds. The strap is detachable and can be worn as a necklace or bracelet, while the eight-carat pear-shaped diamond centre-piece can be worn separately as a brooch. This is definitely for the girl who can’t have too many handbags.

The big, and particularly the soft clutch, are top handbags for this season. Out for good go any shoulder straps, with hand-held bags bold on colour, glitter and any type of ‘bling’ imaginable.
